Two ³Ô¹Ï´ïÈË seniors' sales pitch earned them a top-10 spot in national competition last weekend.
Jessica Clark, who is majoring in public relations, and Megan Martin, a marketing major, competed in the National Collegiate Sales Competition. They finished fourth among teams representing 65 universities. Dr. Duleep Delpechitre, a UL Lafayette professor of marketing, is the team's coach.
The annual contest, which was held at Kennesaw State ³Ô¹Ï´ïÈË in Kennesaw, Ga., is one of the oldest business-school competitions.
The ³Ô¹Ï´ïÈË of Wisconsin-Eau Claire took first place. Kennesaw State ³Ô¹Ï´ïÈË and the ³Ô¹Ï´ïÈË of Central Florida took second and third place, respectively. UL Lafayette was one of three Louisiana schools that participated, including Nicholls State ³Ô¹Ï´ïÈË and Louisiana State ³Ô¹Ï´ïÈË.
